The 8th International Railway Summit, proudly supported by the International Union of Railways (UIC) will be held from 20-22 November 2019 in New Delhi, India. The summit is an exclusive networking platform for operators, governments, infrastructure owners, national and local authorities, and technical experts. It combines business meetings, a full conference programme, and formal and informal functions. The backbone of this unique event is a bespoke pre-arranged one-to-one meeting programme. The meeting programme matches buyers, sourcing solutions for their project requirements, with a wide variety of expert solution providers.

The summit conference programme will focus on how rail can best keep pace with rapid population growth. Thought leaders such as Elisabeth Werner, Director Land Transport, European Commission (EC), Carlo Borghini, Executive Director of Shift2Rail, and Gerald Olliver, Lead Transport Specialist at the World Bank, will debate pressing issues such as whether high-speed rail is worth it, the future of large-scale transport planning, the impact of human factors on safety, capacity, passenger experience, and what unique offerings rail can make to passengers and industry that other modes cannot.
Throughout the three days of the summit, delegates, who will stay in the venue hotel, will have the opportunity to forge friendships as well as new partnerships, learning about and from each other over coffee, lunches, dinners, and technical visits.
