The Czech company AMiT, a leader in the development and production of control systems and electronics for transport and industrial automation, has acquired the company Top Power, which manufactures, installs, tests and assembles electronics. Both parties decided not to disclose the amount of the transaction.

AMiT’s dynamic growth requires increased production capacity. This capacity is available to Top Power, which gives their merger a major strategic sense. “It is primarily our foreign orders that are growing at a high rate. In order to be able to enter other markets smoothly, we need to guarantee maximum production capacity for our customers. For us, the decision to buy a company that has great experience and background means that we can jump into new production almost immediately. We can not only increase capacity, but also better guarantee delivery times and the logistics chain,” says Aleš Krutina, CEO of AMiT.
The AMiT Automation division will now have its own production, increasing overall production capacity and saving some costs. Existing production in Prague will continue and will immediately benefit from the freed-up capacity for the Transportation division. The production capacity in Votice will continue to be used also for existing customers and partners of Top Power.
“We are developing industries that have huge potential worldwide. Today, we are among the top in our field, mainly thanks to continuous investments in new technologies, strengthening our development, production and service capacities. Development will continue in Votice, where we already see potential for further investments and production development. We are looking forward to meeting new colleagues and working on interesting AMiT projects that await our current and newly recruited employees in the near future,” adds Krutina, under whom the newly acquired Top Power will be placed.
