From June 18 to 20, 2025, the Czech Republic and leading companies of the Czech railway industry will participate in the international trade fair Eurasia Rail 2025 in Istanbul. The joint presentation, organized under the banner of ACRI – the Association of Czech Railway Industry Companies – will take place with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic as part of programs promoting exports and the international visibility of Czech businesses.
“Turkey and the wider Middle East region represent a promising market for the Czech railway industry. This joint participation in Istanbul is a key step toward strengthening business relations and securing contracts worth billions of Czech crowns,” says Marie Vopálenská, CEO of ACRI.

Joint Exhibition of Leading Czech Railway Industry Brands
At booth no. 2531 in Hall 2 of the Istanbul Expo Center, fourteen ACRI member companies will present themselves – from rolling stock manufacturers to component and system suppliers, and specialists in development and testing. The companies will focus on business negotiations, establishing new partnerships, and showcasing their technologies in the areas of rolling stock, turnouts, electronics, testing, and digitalization.
Exhibiting Companies from the Czech Railway Industry:
- Škoda Group, the largest Czech manufacturer of rail vehicles, will present itself in Istanbul as a long-term and reliable partner not only for the supply of vehicles but also for technical support, maintenance, and spare parts. Particular emphasis will be placed on the company’s expertise in development, manufacturing, and testing. Škoda Group sees Turkey as a key hub in the Euro-Asian region and a market with growing infrastructure investment.
- DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna, a leading manufacturer of railway turnouts, will focus primarily on showcasing its full range of turnout products, with special attention to solutions for metro and tram systems – segments with the highest export potential in Turkey and the wider Euro-Asian and Middle Eastern markets. DTVS has been a long-term supplier to the Turkish rail sector – delivering hundreds of turnouts and related components over the past two decades not only to Turkish State Railways (TCDD), but also for metro systems in Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara, as well as tram systems. Total revenues from these deliveries over the past 20 years have exceeded CZK 300 million, underscoring Turkey’s importance as a key export market for the company.
- At the Eurasia Rail trade fair in Istanbul, AMiT Transportation will focus on presenting its expertise in the development and production of control systems and electronics for railway and rail-bound vehicles. The company will highlight its proprietary technological know-how, modern manufacturing capabilities, and professional customer-oriented approach. The Turkish market is highly promising for AMiT – the company has already implemented several projects in the country, including the delivery of passenger audio (PA) and CCTV systems for the modernization of high-speed trains manufactured by CAF for the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). The entire region is considered a key area for future railway infrastructure development, and AMiT is actively monitoring new opportunities while building partnerships with local stakeholders.
- MSV Elektronika, a leading manufacturer of electronic systems for rail vehicles, will showcase its LED lighting and control systems. The Turkish market and surrounding countries are important to the company due to growing interest in new contracts and the establishment of business relations.
- Retex, a producer of technical textiles and insulation materials for rail vehicles, will present advanced insulation products and special fire blockers for seats made from eco-friendly recycled materials. These products support sustainability while meeting strict safety and acoustic standards. The company aims to establish new partnerships in the region.
- Retia, a Czech technology company specializing in the development and production of recording and surveillance systems, radar technologies, and specialized electronic devices for both civil and defense use, will focus on three main objectives during the Istanbul trade fair: personal meetings with business partners to evaluate ongoing cooperation and explore new opportunities, presentation of technological innovations – in particular the ReDat5 system for workplace recording in contact centers – and establishing contacts with new potential partners. Turkey and the broader Euro-Asian and Middle Eastern regions represent strategically important markets for Retia. The company has already delivered ReDat recording systems for metro networks in Turkey and submitted a bid for high-speed rail lines. Given the growing demand for advanced safety and recording technologies in the region, the company sees high commercial potential in these markets.
- VÚKV, a research and testing institute specializing in the development, testing, and certification of rail vehicles and their components, will focus on expanding cooperation with current clients and engaging new customers in the rail vehicle manufacturing sector. Key opportunities lie in static and dynamic component testing services, especially in fatigue testing for bogie manufacturers. The institute is currently in discussions with the Turkish company FZK.
- Wikov, a manufacturer of gearboxes and drive units for rail vehicles, will showcase successfully implemented projects for Turkish partners – particularly tram gearboxes for Bozankaya and two-stage gearboxes for the Gaziray project ordered by Türasaş. Turkey is a strategically important market for Wikov, also due to opportunities to support vehicle manufacturers in projects in other countries, such as Romania (city of Iași).
Strong Czech Presence Reflects Export Potential
Eurasia Rail is among the most significant railway trade fairs outside the European Union. Its focus on Southeast Europe, the Middle East, and Asia aligns with the growing ambitions of Czech companies in these dynamic regions.
“Our joint participation confirms the commitment of Czech companies to expanding export opportunities and strengthening the brand of Czech technology for modern mobility. Turkey is a strategic partner with an intensively developing railway network, and Czech companies have much to offer,” concludes Marie Vopálenská, CEO of ACRI.
