On 17 April 2025, we handed over the last Pendolino head car equipped with ATLAS-type ETCS OBUs, namely car 682-006-2, to the customer Czech Railways. It has been combined with the remaining four functional 680.006 cars and two other 680.005 cars to form a “hybrid unit” and is currently running kilometres in test operation.

A few days later, on 6 May 2025, the last locomotive 363.524, equipped with the TRAINGUARD 200 ETCS OBU, was returned to the customer ČD Cargo. These locomotives are also running kilometres in test operation.
The installation work has been completed, but the homologation work is in full swing. The ERA approval process is underway for both series and we expect to receive the so-called vehicle type approval.
And while some projects are slowly coming to an end, others are just beginning. On 13 March 2025, we started a project with our customer ČD Cargo to install the OBU ETCS on 242 series vehicles. This project will equip up to 40 vehicles for operation in the Czech Republic.
