From 23 to 26 September 2025, Gdańsk will host the 16th edition of TRAKO, the international railway technology fair – one of Europe’s most important industry gatherings.
At TRAKO, more than forty Czech entities will present premieres and key innovations – from a new generation of battery trains and autonomous train technologies to ETCS implementation, the latest seat designs, and rolling stock capable of speeds exceeding 200 km/h.
The joint Czech industry exhibition, presented under the ACRI brand and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, will be located in Hall B, stand B07. In addition, several Czech companies will also present their own individual exhibits.
“TRAKO is a strategic event for us because Poland is one of the most important markets for the Czech railway industry, which ranks among the European leaders. Our manufacturers have long-standing references in Poland – from rolling stock and components to digital technologies and research facilities,” said Marie Vopálenská, CEO of ACRI.
The Czech railway industry accounts for around 2% of Czech GDP and in 2024 reached a turnover of CZK 133 billion (PLN 23 billion), with 50% coming from exports.

Czech Railway Industry Exhibits at TRAKO 2025
AŽD (A29) – a leading supplier of railway signalling and control systems. In Gdańsk, it will showcase its portfolio ranging from traditional applications to ETCS L1/L2 implementation. Key exhibits include: the LEA-2 protection unit (for switchable Eurobalises), the VZ200 point lock, the LCS remote-control system, a GTN add-on with automatic route setting, and a new signal developed specifically for PKP PLK, the Polish infrastructure manager. The company will also present diagnostic systems and results of autonomous train tests conducted on its own Kopidlno–Dolní Bousov line, highlighting the potential for driverless operation in regional service.
Bonatrans (A46) – Europe’s leader in wheelset production. At TRAKO it will showcase the stress-optimized BONA830EM wheel for 25 t axle-load freight wagons, offering extended service life thanks to BONASTAR®ER7 steel and BONACOAT®C3 coating. For passenger transport, it will present the GHH®V60 resilient wheel with aluminium disc, already in use on trams in Duisburg and Düsseldorf, Germany.
BORCAD (ACRI joint stand, B07) – the VISIO seat in Koleje Mazowieckie livery (deliveries for up to 130 Stadler FLIRT units) as well as for PESA units of the same operator. The company will also unveil its new FLEXIO UNIVERSAL seat model for regional and long-distance trains, which will first enter serial production in PESA units for RegioJet (R9 Brno–Prague line). Outdoors, VISIO seats will also be installed in the BEMU RegioPanter battery unit produced by Škoda Group for the Moravian-Silesian Region. The exhibition will further feature BORCAD seats from the ComfortJet project (Siemens–Škoda Group consortium).

CZ LOKO (A15) – a private Czech locomotive manufacturer and market leader in shunting, dual-system, and universal locomotives. At TRAKO, it will present three key models: the compact and reliable EffiShunter 300, designed for stations and sidings; the versatile EffiShunter 1000, also suitable for light mainline duty; and the DualShunter 2000, a hybrid locomotive combining diesel and electric power, offering flexibility and environmentally friendly operation.
OLTIS Group (A34) – a leading Czech supplier of railway IT solutions. In Gdańsk, it will showcase systems for freight and passenger transport management, intermodal solutions, and interfaces with European infrastructure managers via TAF/TAP TSI. These applications are developed in line with the NIS2 directive and are also offered to Polish partners.
Pars Komponenty (E85) – a producer of door and window systems for rolling stock. At TRAKO it will present components supplied for the NEWAG Impuls3 project (for Koleje Śląskie). Innovations include fixed windows with 5G signal permeability (DART+) for Irish Rail, enabling improved passenger mobile connectivity, as well as windows for ČD push-pull trains and components for Göteborg’s M31 trams and Sweden’s Civity Nordic trains.
Passengera (ACRI joint stand, B07) – a specialist in digital technologies for passengers and railway operators. At TRAKO, it will introduce a new generation of multifunctional G8 devices with a container-based edge computing platform, enabling reliable and fast data processing directly onboard trains, already in use with PKP Intercity long-distance trains. The company will also present its hardware-independent PIS platform for passenger information systems and premium connectivity and infotainment solutions to enhance passenger comfort.
Škoda Group (A43, TB04, TZ30, TZ42) – the largest Czech rolling stock manufacturer. At TRAKO it will showcase the latest generation of BEMU RegioPanter battery units for ČD and the Moravian-Silesian Region, enabling zero-emission operations on non-electrified lines. It will also present the Škoda ForCity Plus 52T tram for Prague, its own ETCS implementation, and an anti-collision system for trams – a new project aimed at the Polish market as well. Other highlights include a new sleeping module for double-deck night trains in Finland (Helsinki–Rovaniemi route). On the outdoor tracks, the long-distance high-speed ComfortJet trainset for ČD, produced by Škoda Group in consortium with Siemens, will make its Polish premiere.
