DAKO-CZ has achieved another significant success on the European rail vehicle market. The company has been awarded a contract by the Swiss manufacturer Stadler to supply brake systems for new BEMU battery-diesel units that will operate in the Région Sud area in France.
The project confirms DAKO-CZ’s position as a supplier of braking systems for modern railway vehicles while further strengthening its long-term cooperation with Stadler in the field of innovative rail applications.
For a total of eight two-car units, DAKO-CZ will deliver a comprehensive braking solution including main brake panels, wheel slide protection panels including connectors, emergency valves, and brake indicators. These solutions contribute to a high level of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency of the vehicles.
The project is scheduled to commence in August 2026, with deliveries gradually taking place through 2027.
The units, designed specifically to meet the customer’s requirements, will be 40 metres long and have a capacity of approximately 180 passengers. Their deployment represents an important step in the modernization of regional transport in southern France, with a strong emphasis on sustainable solutions.
