DAKO-CZ has secured a unique project from Stadler Rail Schweiz AG. DAKO brake systems and components will be installed in twelve battery-powered locomotives intended for servicing, maintenance, and repair operations within the extensive network of the Paris public transport operator RATP.
The contract represents the first project that Stadler is carrying out for RATP in this segment, marking an important milestone in the cooperation between the two companies. The framework agreement also includes an option for two additional vehicles.
The locomotives will primarily be used for servicing, maintenance, and repair work on the Paris metro infrastructure, which spans approximately 245 kilometres.
For this project, DAKO-CZ will supply a comprehensive portfolio of brake components, including main brake control panels, auxiliary function panels, pantograph control panels, wheel slide protection panels including connectors, dual brake indicators, and emergency valves. The new locomotives are designed with a strong focus on flexibility, operational reliability, safety, and ease of maintenance, thereby contributing to the efficient operation of one of Europe’s most extensive metropolitan transport networks.
