Mike Niebling (55) has become the new Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Transportation. One of the leading European manufacturers of public transport vehicles thus continues to strengthen its TOP management and sends a clear signal that Škoda wants to focus even more on selling its products in other markets, including Western Europe. Škoda Transportation Group is part of the PPF Group.
At Škoda Transportation, Mike Niebling will be responsible for global sales, where he will focus mainly on rolling stock (trains, trams and metro). His extensive experience will play a key role in this, as he has been involved in the sale of these vehicles for more than 21 years.
Mike Niebling studied mechanical engineering with a focus on rail vehicle technology at the Technical University of Dresden. Immediately after his studies, he joined Bombardier Transportation where he worked for almost 29 years, mainly in senior management positions. He was responsible for sales of rolling stock, locomotives across Europe. In addition to established markets, he was also involved in expanding business opportunities into new markets.
