Czech technology and real estate group TTC is expanding its business in the field of modern technologies by establishing a new company TTC MOBILE. It will focus on the use of 5G technologies in the energy, transport and industrial sectors and will work very closely with its sister company TTC MARCONI.
Fifth-generation mobile networks provide high data rates and fast response times, very low latency, greater reliability in data transmission and a more comfortable environment for users in general. 5G is thus technically positioned to have a significant impact on developments in a number of sectors.
For example, it will play an important role in rail transport, where a completely new European communication standard, FRMCS, is being developed on the basis of the 5G network. It is this standard that will replace the current unsustainable GSM-R standard based on 2G technology over the next few years and will become one of the building blocks that will enable the emergence of a truly smart railway.
