The OLTIS Group has launched on the market a completely new solution for managing the railway company’s personnel. The solution consists of two parts.
The EDO RAT central application includes all essential functions: employee card, registration of employment conditions, certificates and licences, knowledge of routes, local conditions and traction vehicles, planning of prescribed and standard shift patterns and attendance assessment, generation of travel orders and wages documentation.
The second part of the solution is the mobile application for driver’s tablets using the Android operating system. This application enables (not only) drivers to get acquainted with the documentation and shift plan, record arrivals to and departures from shifts, planned and unplanned performance, report the status of gauges on the locomotive, communicate via push messages with, for example, the railway company’s dispatcher and many other functions.
Both applications are fully integrated with the railway company’s central dispatching application (e.g. Logistics Web Portal – LWP). The EDO RAT is used by the LWP for the selection of appropriate personnel for carrying out different train tasks and retrospectively updates the knowledge of the routes according to the actual drivers’ passages. The driver’s tablet application primarily transmits to the LWP information on the personnel’s activities carried out registered with the trains in service.
These solutions are welcome aids for the railway companies in their daily work.
