In mid-September, with the participation of the end customer – the Austrian national carrier Österreichische Bundesbahnen – received the first pieces for the ÖBB DANI project.
“We are pleased that this project deepens our long-term and successful cooperation with Siemens. For DAKO-CZ, this order is exceptional in because it is historically the first order for the supply of brake components homologated according to UIC for the ÖBB DANI passenger wagons, namely thirteen seven-wagon and eight nine-wagon sets with the possibility of additional options,” said Dagmar Matúšová, the CEO of DAKO-CZ and added: “The sets in the project referred to as ÖBB DANI, i.e. Day and Night, i.e. day and bed wagons will be an upgraded platform or a new generation of the Viaggio sets from Siemens.
The subject of acceptance were: instrument panels for high-floor and low-floor wagons, driver’s panels, panels for the control of storage brakes, anti-skid valves, high-speed brake valves, emergency valves, taps, brake indicators and adjusters. All these products have been released for series production, which will run until the end of 2022 and whose value is approx. EUR 2.3 million, with the possibility of increasing it by another million EUR.
