A significant change in the field of interoperability is the amendment of the current document of the Association of Notified Bodies RFU-STR-022 addressing the use of test results from testing laboratories other than notified bodies which will be effective as of 19 June 2020.
The use of test results in the EC verification process is possible if the tests are performed by accredited testing laboratories according to EN ISO/IEC/17025. The results of tests performed outside the scope of accreditation cannot be accepted by a notified body.
To avoid the possible need to repeat the tests (e.g. measurement of geometric parameters of the track, spatial position, spatial capacity, etc.), the test must be approved before the measurement itself, even with regard to the participation of a notified body in the measurement.
It follows from the above mentioned that it is necessary to conclude a contractual relationship between the notified body (VUZ) and the contractor in good time before the measurements.
