Very recent topic in rolling stock is to increase safety of
vehicle service. This topic is solved by European strategy ERTMS/ETCS. In scope
of this strategy are current tracks equipped by stationary ETCS units and as
the opposite driving vehicles are equipped by mobile ETSC units.
During recent period AV R&D successfully continues in delivery of complete
design solutions of mobile ETCS unit installations into drive vehicles together
with laboratory testing of ETCS equipment itself.
Design solution of mobile ETCS unit attachment is dependent on vehicle type,
used ETCS unit and its own attachment requirements. Design solutions are
prepared according to current and desired requirements to the vehicle security
and also according to standards requirements (ČSN EN 61373 a ČSN EN 12663).
Verification by test of ETCS equipment is integral part of AV R&D services.
ETCS equipment is subjected to the developments and proof tests such as
vibration load, shocks and temperature loads according to standards ČSN EN
61373, ČSN EN 60068-2-27, ČSN EN 60068-2-64, ČSN EN 50125-3, or according to
specification of customer or from measured in service loads.
AV R&D also offers vibration or shock testing combined with temperature
loads in range -40 oC up to +120 oC. All
these loads can be determined by our specialists in service of vehicle by
measurement of Eigen frequencies and vibrations of ETCS units already installed
on vehicles and tracks.
All above mentioned test are performed in scope of AV R&D testing center
