The VÚKV testing laboratory disposes of new development infrastructure including large testing hall with two tracks and adjacent working facilities including production of unique measuring wheelsets. The hall is provided with testing technologies supported in the project “Extension of VÚKV a.s. research and development infrastructure” in terms of Enterprising and Innovation for Competitiveness Operational Programme – Potential.
Objective of the project was the extension of research and development centre containing the acquisition of machinery, equipment and further outfit. The new hall is equipped with two overhead cranes and crane trucks with 6 300 kg and 12 500 kg loading capacity, tensile compression test bench for carrying out of static tests of rail vehicle body structures up to length of 60 m with maximum longitudinal load 4 000 kN. Further unique technology is the measurement turntable for body to bogie yaw torque measurement combined with possibility of mass ascertainment and the set of footer spindle jacks with hall traversing and carrying capacity of 25 t each.
In connection with this research and development centre extension is possible to use the new testing hall for carrying out of development tests e.g. in the area of anti-derailment safety, strength etc. in terms of open access to supported development infrastructure. We are able to offer the carrying out of e.g. anti-derailment safety tests, ascertaining of bogie yaw torque measurement, static strength tests and eventually other tests and their combinations according to customer requirements.
