Adhesive bonding joints are an integral part of rail vehicle design. Part of our development activities in AV R&D are deals with both partial tests of adhesive bonding joints in the AV R&D Testing Center and the development of special test equipment for testing adhesive bonding joints in accordance with DIN 6701.
Laboratory tests of adhesive bonding joints are an integral part of our services. During the implementation of partial tests, the idea arose of the implementation of a universal device enabling tests according to the requirements of DIN 6701. As part of internal development, a special test device for testing adhesive bonding joints with type designation AV043 / 036 was created. This device integrates the requirements for static and dynamic loading with the requirements for temperature resistance of adhesive bonding joints. At the same time, it is modular, so it is possible to select a configuration corresponding to the selected methodology of testing adhesive bonding joints.
Knowledge from the development of special testing machines is applied to the test equipment and enables interactive access via a display interface to define tests and monitor their parameters. The device can be used for validation of adhesive bonding joints according to DIN 6701 as well as for the development of adhesive bonding joints under customer-defined loading.
Test equipment parameters:
• static force up to 20 kN,
• dynamic force up to 10 kN,
• load frequency up to 20 Hz,
• loading speed 0.1 – 20 mm / min,
• temperature range -40 oC – + 120 oC.
We carry out tests and deliveries of special testing equipment within the scope of accreditation of the AV R&D testing center and the certifications obtained.
